The Hotel Taburiente was founded in 1966 with 45 rooms and the category of a two-star residence hotel. In 1976 it was expanded to 90 rooms and soon became a hotel because the residence hotel category disappeared.
In 1989 it was extended again to 116 rooms and undertook a general reform of facilities, decoration and services. During these years, it applied for the three stars it was awarded. In 2007 it completed its last extension and general refurbishment. Since then it has had 165 rooms.
Santa Cruz de Tenerife is located in the northeast of the island of Tenerife, being at the same time the capital of the province of the most western islands La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro.
The port city borders the Atlantic and is only 7 km from one of the most famous beaches of the island, Las Teresitas, from where you can also easily access the Parque Rural del Anaga, which is one of the oldest areas of Tenerife with its Laurisilva Forest, which can be crossed with an extensive network of trails.
Santa Cruz de Tenerife is the economic and business center of the island, so it receives mainly business travelers, but also offers a wide range of cultural, gastronomic and historical, which are of interest to independent visitors, who seek to mix with the inhabitants of the city, to learn about customs, traditions and the daily life of this contemporary city.
